Core Responsibilities

Junior QA Engineer – 1–2 years

• Assist in developing and implementing testing strategies and processes to ensure high-quality software products.

• Work closely with team members and mentors to understand business objectives and translate them into practical quality requirements.

• Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

• Support the creation and maintenance of test plans and test cases to ensure adequate test coverage.

• Perform acceptance testing for web applications, mobile apps, and API integrations.

• Assist in the design and development of automated test scripts.

• Communicate effectively within the team to align QA objectives with overall business goals.

• Identify risks under supervision and contribute to mitigation strategies.

Qualifications / Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in manual and automated testing of data-driven applications.

• Basic knowledge of automation frameworks such as Playwright or Appium.

• Basic coding experience in Python.

• Familiarity with testing web applications (ReactJS) and mobile applications (React Native).

• Some experience with testing API endpoints.

• Basic knowledge of SQL databases.

• Interest in end-to-end data testing and data analysis methodologies.

• Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn debugging and log analysis.

• Interest in performance and load testing.

Mid QA Engineer – 3+ years

• Design and implement testing strategies to ensure product quality across web, mobile, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and expand test coverage across critical product areas.

• Own QA responsibilities for specific product features and ensure high reliability in releases.

• Develop and maintain end-to-end automated tests for UI, APIs, and data workflows.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data teams to translate business requirements into effective quality validation.

• Analyze quality metrics and test results to identify risks and recommend improvements.

• Participate in root cause analysis and debugging of complex production issues.

• Improve CI/CD quality processes and contribute to scalable test infrastructure.

• Contribute to performance, load, and reliability testing strategies.

Qualifications / Experience

• 3+ years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).

• Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, or similar tools.

• Solid coding experience in Python/Javascript for automation development.

• Experience testing modern web and mobile applications.

• Experience testing REST APIs and backend services.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.

• Understanding of test strategies for data pipelines and analytics-driven applications.

• Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and log analysis skills.

• Ability to independently deliver testing tasks and own QA responsibilities for features.

Senior QA Engineer – 5+ years

• Define and drive QA strategy across multiple product areas to ensure scalable and reliable testing practices.

• Design and maintain advanced automation frameworks for UI, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Own quality standards and enforce best practices for test automation, CI/CD integration, and release validation.

• Lead QA efforts for major product initiatives and coordinate testing across multiple teams.

• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies including functional, integration, performance, and reliability testing.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data teams to ensure quality is embedded in the development lifecycle.

• Analyze production incidents and establish preventive quality mechanisms.

• Drive improvements in test coverage, monitoring, and observability.

• Mentor QA engineers and guide the team in adopting automation and AI-assisted testing practices.

• Advocate for quality at the product level and influence engineering decisions that improve reliability.

Qualifications / Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering.

• Expertise in test automation architecture and framework design.

• Advanced Python programming skills for automation tooling.

• Strong experience testing complex distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.

• Experience with performance testing, monitoring, and reliability engineering.

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• Ability to translate product and business requirements into scalable quality strategies.
